Small Irrigation Program

This project was implemented in Sipapokhare, Kunchowk, Bhimtar, Nawalpur, Bandegaun, Sipalkavre and Melamchi VDCs of Sindhupalchowk District from July 2004 to September 2006. This program was supported by District Agriculture Office (DADO) and Sustainable Soil Management Program (SSMP), Sindhupalchowk. Farmer's groups were formed and mobilized for need identification of irrigation facilities to increase agriculture productivity. Users' committees were formed and irrigation canal was constructed. Capacity building training was given for repair, maintenance, group mobilization and institutional development to bring the sustainability of community managed irrigation.
