At the devastating earthquake of 25 April 2015, the UN-Habitat in partnership with the UNICEF is supporting this project through CERF funding to provide life supporting WASH provision to affected communities and to restore the previous sanitation and hygiene status in Sindhupalchowk. This will compliment UN-Habitat's existing regular programme of Sanitation Campaign and emergency programme providing temporary shelters for affected communities in these areas. The project is focused in two VDCs of Sindhupalchowk district, namely Sipapokhare , Bhotsipa.
